That’s a really good question. There are a lot of contenders but I think I would focus on a game with a strong foundation that didn’t quite reach greatness.

Maybe Jet Force Gemini? Add the dual analog controls that were patched into the Xbox One version, remove the tedious sections, introduce some new bosses (and overhaul the last one), etc.
