This holiday sure will be interesting, with Europe's last breath on the Switch's sale. Depending on how much faith Nintendo puts on this region adding to the fact it won't be able to ship more units to there, we can see a high shipment to Europe, more than we would normally expect, which would contribute to the 160M mission. The only argument against this is the 2 million shipments goal Nintendo set for themselves in the begining of the current fiscal year. When the set that number, they probably already had thought on how to deal with Europe and its new battery regulamentation |
What if that big 199 euro sale is exactly the opposite ? Not doing new shipments but clearing out the last shipments in order for Nintendo to be sure that there will be no stock left by February because they would not be able to ship and sell new ones? |
The only reason I see for them to do this is if the Switch couldn't be sold in Europe anymore post-February. As far as I know, the regulamention tackles the shipment of products to Europe post-February, not their sales after this month
