Which long-running, major series is the worst in gaming? (and why)

Call of Duty, hands down. I can't speak on the quality of the games, though they seem to be quite slop-ified recently, but for being manipulative games cultivating the worst of American culture and spreading it even outside of the USA, financed by you-know-who, that's enough.
