Was the PS Vita a good system?

I beat both uncharted and Killzone on vita when they were released. For handhelds back then I found them to be phenomenal. Graphics were great and especially the OLED Display made them look good. Both were ofcourse not as good as the ps3 games but for that time i did not really expect more.

I do wish they remastered/remade those for PS4 as I did really like the Uncharted/Killzone games on PS3, but portables aren't really my thing.
