In the 90's I was young and foolish, a kid.... but my outlook on the future of mankind was a lot more positive than it currently is.
I feel like we're not on as "good a path" as we were back then.
It's like the entire world took a few too many wrong turns or something.
Some of it is cultural... like the metoo, feminism gone overboard, dating being basically a thing of the past / hookup culture, women swearing off men (man hate), men replying with "men go their own way", not to mention stuff like gender policies/identity stuff. We had a period of body positivity that was just women promoting being fat (how many of these influencers died in their 30/40s? its not healthy to die at 40, because of lifestyle choices). Europe doesn't look the same. There are so many 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants that don't want to assimilate into society, learn to speak local languages, or attempt to fit in. Look at France, with the mass riots over nothing (schooling spend supposedly), and then their hatred for western society means they think its okay to run around setting stuff on fire, or smashing things, mass destruction just leads more spending on upkeep. The replacement theory has born true... some parts of Europe the immigrant are higher % of the population than the people originally from there. Like Luxembourg, the people (natives) of the country are less than 50% of the population now. All of Europe will soon turn Muslim, and start to look like the middle east / africa.
Then there is global warming (rising sea levels).... and all the wars, and fights for resources to come (water, oil).
in short yes... the world seems fucked.
Western society, does seem on a downward trend.

Mass riots over nothing? The student protests in France actually started after teacher's started striking, students backing up the teachers, demanding more funding, demanding France prioritize education over austerity measures, including recently eliminating 4,000 teaching positions

They're not led by hatred of western society wtf? The violence is a result from the heavy handed security measures by police firing tear gas at kids.

The kids are rightly worried about their future and direction of the country (countries, it has spread to Belgium, Albenia, Greece, Italy) but nothing to do with 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants or replacement theory. That's the scapegoat the government uses to deflect.
Yeah Europe is fucked, by the rise of the far right. Not by students demanding education and a future.
