I like speculating too much, so here's my guess, as a software developer: Initially users didn't need a creation time attached to them - or that first user was created directly in the database, so it was initially missing creation time because of that. Later, it was decided that every user must have a creation time, and users without a creation time were assigned one arbitrarily. The creation time part I'm less sure about, but I'd be really surprised if the numbers weren't IDs that are increased sequentially - you'd have to go out of your way to have the user with ID 1 be created after so many more users are created with larger IDs. |
