I don't want frenetic action/movement in Metroid Prime. Part of what makes Prime games so good to me is the focus on exploration and observation of your surroundings. You are slow because what you have to do requires patience, slow thinking and calculated movement. Combat follows suit with this approach: you move around your enemy, watching its movements carefully and waiting for an opening to attack.
That being said (and this might sound a bit contradictory), I would like a dash/run button in the next Prime game. There is no reason for ALWAYS moving at walking speed. Backtracking can become very tedious like that.
Other than that... I just want the next Prime game to be developed without the remains of a cancelled project sticked to its butt and the desires of an old man who only wants to follow mainstream trends no matter what and doesn't know what's good for the franchise. Just let Retro cook.
