LMAO. I remember when people challenged me and said PS+ was much more likely to copy GamePass on day 1 releases than Microsoft dialing back. Fastforward and GamePass costs more and with little to no AAA day 1 releases?
So much for GamePass increasing software sales. It's actually insane that many believed that nonsense, and needed "proof" that GP day 1 hurts traditional software sales. Common sense is not so common.
The most fucked up part is that, knowing recent Sony, instead of using this as an opportunity to promote PS+, they may be encouraged to copy them. Without big day 1 releases, GamePass is basically an inferior and more expensive PS+, this gives Sony the ability to charge more and offer an ad tier of their own with less pushback. Sony vs Microsoft is truly a race to the bottom, but one of them is empowered by the fact that their platform is very popular.
