Because you came of age when the method started to get questioned on a broader scale. Not most of us here. We grew up at a time when everything was judged by a rating. Old habits die hard.
Plus, it's just a personal feeling. Was it good, bad, or somewhere in the middle? A numerical rating paints a clearer picture in my head about how I felt about something.
