DLSS 5 ONLY changes the the way lighting is hitting those original models/polygons/textures/materials. That's it. JUST the lighting.

And yeah - WOW, is there a massive change is how things look because of that.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it yet, but again, in the Grace example - THAT is her ORIGINAL face. Her lips, eyes, etc. - all that changed is how the lighting is reacting to those things. It really is crazy how different it looks.

If you think the only thing changing is the lighting and the AI isn't adding/editing elements of the model you're crazy
