PC and Xbox both offer 512 GB options whereas Sony doesn't even offer a 1TB version of the Pro. It's such a bizarre strategy bearing in mind PS5's SSD being much faster than Xbox's (and therefore more expensive) and how NAND prices are through the roof. Hell, they could sell their consoles up to a $100 cheaper (Pro) AND make more money per unit.

NAND prices at the industry level aren't that high, even spot prices. They'd be saving less than $50 by doing that and probably losing more than that in product value, TBH, since the Pro has relatively higher margins and BoM than the others anyway.
