I dont even think they need a Lite if they dont want to invest in development costs. Just sell the Switch 2 unit with a charger. Offers a much lower entry point and can get the market that doesn't care about hooking to TV. Can always buy the dock at a later date. Or if they want to go even cheaper just release a brick version that doesn't have removable joycon, just attached controls like the Lite.
