As for the old FPS vs. TPS argument...
If this game was TPS, I would lose interest immediately. Seriously, how many action adventure games are third person? Where's the immersion? Oo look I can watch another person swing around and kick people.
I think it's really cool to be that person instead, to have total body awareness (you can see your legs and arms as you move and attack). It's much more immersive and realistic.
