Most of it stays in plastic tubs in a stable, dark environment. When I have a desire to play a particular console, I'll get it out of storage, plug it up, then take all of its games and arrange on shelves near the entertainment center in the same, dark and stable environment. It'll stay like that until I'm ready for something else, then I'll rotate.
