GameCube is fine for the era. Most consoles didn't have much in the way of a UI/OS until the 7th generation (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii).
I'm not a fan of the Wii/DS/etc look. So I will go with Switch by default. It is a simple enough design. I just wish you could make the game icons a bit smaller, so you could see more without the need to scroll over.
