I mean no matter where you are in the world, you might be forced to care about it, like it might threaten all of our lives eventually.
But anyway about Malstrom. To me, once you realize that someone isn't right in the head, what they have to say stops being interesting. My time is too valuabale to waste on trying to gain insight from rambling lunatics. A lot of what he has written just sounds comically stupid now a long time afterwards.
The best thing he ever did though is to point towards the "Innovator's Dilemma" and "Blue Ocean Strategy" books. Those books contain real interesting knowledge and insights, and are worth reading.
I'd rather re-read those books again than read even one new Malstrom blog post. |
No - I stopped having interest in any sort of politics some 35 years ago. That old adage "and wisdom to know the difference" rang very true, after I've actually seen the cogs of the machine from the inside. And since, from my POV, there's no point of yelling at cogs, unless I'm willing to take a steel bar and shove it inbetween them (for which the timing still isn't right), I just tend to ignore all of it.
As for Maelstrom - I find lot of his articles that put game related things into historic perspective to have value. Again, what he thinks of politics does not interest me.
