In general sites with forum like discussions are losing traction everywhere. I'm not the most active, but this places is 95% of my total engagement in forums anywhere.
Been jumping around different sites the past like 20 years, staying a couple of months or a year at one place until it is dead for real. This is not one of those places, yet. It is still fairly active (comparably) and interesting reads are posted daily, even if it is held up by a few very active users.
Then again, as been mentioned, there are not that many things to talk about this slow generation.
