I'm OK with ads in games as long as they don't disturb the experience and fit the context. In practice, I expect this to mean ad displays you would see in the real world but placed in the game world instead, with careful enough curation done for the ads. Of course this probably greatly decreases how much sense it makes to add ads to a game, especially since players are probably often too busy to really pay attention to ads, so I kind of suspect it's just not worth the effort.

In other cases, I'm opposed to ads in games. Unskippable video ads? Nope, it's pretty much a dealbreaker. Skippable video ads? Almost as bad, so no. Ads in menus? Ads for the publisher's own products are already pushing it, so advertising random stuff in menus etc. is a no as well. Something else? Also probably a no.
