When will Switch 2 catch up with the PS5?

2030 was my guess because I don't see the PS5 having long legs. It is already having poor numbers, it will have a last spur with GTA 6 and then its downhill.

Note: “close to 20mil.” I don’t anticipate a 20mil yearly average, but maybe somewhere around 15-17mil. That would make for 90-102mil units shipped by the end of 2031, meaning 117-119mil by the end of 2032 (and almost certainly surpassing PS5 at that point).

2031 is also a good guess is maybe we suspect a bit closer to 20mil. I think 2030 is too soon… prices won’t stay low enough for this to happen.
