Firing Fedorov was basically a gift to Russia and to criticasters of an Ukraine EU-membership. Firing the minister for wanting to fight corruption is a pretty clear signal that the Ukrainian governemt doesn't really want to be less corrupt.

Ehhhh, I definitely want to agree with the first statement. But Zelensky didn’t (and still doesn’t) have an easy decision whether he fires one or the other. I think he probably favored Syrsky because he’s more entrenched at this point with more allies.
