Is this a Africa issue, or a Islam issue?
Like we know what Sharia law says about "queer" people.
This is just a muslim issue right? like near 50% of africa is muslim....
and I suspect the places with the most negative attitudes towards LGBTQ+ is from those area (with muslim majorities).

The Christian part of Africa is homophobic too. Homophobia is the norm in Abrahamic religions. The least homophobic part of Africa in the southern part, because South Africa is less religious and more cosmopolitan
Ethiopia is one of the oldest Christian countries, got there even before most of European nations and there homossexuality is a crime punished with prison
In countries where Christianity is more recent (ex Congo) homossexuality was never a crime
So overall the order is cosmopolitan countries > more recently converted christian countries > older historical christian majority countries > islamic majority countries
