Not sure if Nintendo owns it, it's more second party. But yeah, incredible game.

They own it the only issue is NA because Reggie and co never brought the game over, operation rainfall lead to XSeed publishing it in NA instead meaning in NA the latter holds the publishing rights to the game but the IP ownership is held by Nintendo.
