Yeah all anybody really wants is the ability to have a few games on disc until the PS5 is discontinued. PNP Games was the starter of the petition to save discs. They mostly sell Indie games in physical format. Why can't Sony print 5 million PS5 discs per year to satisfy the hardcore collector crowd? 

Sadly, because they simply don't care.

If increasing their profit margins on every game they sell going forwards loses them say 5% of their audience, they simply do the math and figure it's a worthwhile sacrifice.

It sucks, but that's the reality of corporations, their bottom line is all that matters, customers be damned.
