My main gripe, I guess, is the 14 day limit. I can't think of any situation where that makes sense in a household with multiple switches.  I originally bought my daughter Animal Crossing digitally before we had multiple switches.  Now we need to keep re-sharing the game every 2 weeks.

And the need to be in close proximity to each other.  If my kid takes their switch to a friend's place, I'd like the option, as the owner of the game, to pull the game back to my account whether they are home or not. But I guess if my kid took a GKC to their friend's house, I'd have to wait until they came home too.  So that one is very minor.

I get that they are trying to prevent people from abusing the system.  But they're making it a worse experience for those who are using it legitimately.

Completely agree.  The only upsides I see to the Family plan is 1) price 2) number of users you get is generous 3) I get to play some old games I probably wouldn't buy if they were offered on the eShop (would still rather they be offered though) .

I dislike the game sharing too but my kids have a tenancy to lose the carts or send them through the washer in their pockets so I am still somewhat on the fence. All of the carts that have gone through the washer / dryer still work by the way. Pisses me off but I can't say they wasted money by not checking their pockets before doing a load.

Agreed on the "losing carts" issue. I found so many switch carts between couch cushions.  There's no perfect solution with kids.  But if we can survive until they get a little older, I'd rather have a bunch of physical carts than a bunch of digital purchases that I need to manage across the family.
