It’s great! Bought it day one, and have no regret.
I like the art style, even though I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I like how they went for the 90s plushies look from the OG game’s cover/booklet.
My only nitpick is they were way too conservative and didn’t add much (if at all) to the OG’s gameplay and stages. I wish they had expanded the campaign and made new levels, new secret routes, new gameplay elements…
But I agree with you, as a pretty 1 to 1 remake of the original with improved QoL, it is comparable to Metroid Prime Remastered.
Here’s hoping they’ll shake things up a bit more with their OoT remake.
