I absolutely agree with the sentiment, but it's probably pretty hard to enforce in practice. Unlike other report functions where, say, it's pretty easy to determine if someone is posting spam or slurs, spoilers are highly contextual and difficult to parse if you're not already familiar with the subject, as a general moderator is unlikely to be.

It’s pretty simple, actually: if you post clips from a game/movie/show that’s not out yet, your account gets terminated and your monetization if it exists is going bye bye. And you can often tell just from the title what constitutes a major offputting spoiler, I think anybody and their mom can figure out that this is obviously a pretty major plot development that this asshole spoiled and BTW, this was the day before the game came out:

Making this shit reportable with an actual spoiler flair might scare off some people from getting early review copies just to be assholes and spoil/ruin the game for everybody and even if it doesn’t, it can’t hurt to try. They still need to be taken off YouTube regardless. Try doing this shit on any subreddit or MB and see where that gets you.

That's probably not simple either: it requires a system to keep track of when stuff is coming out, it needs to be updated when dates move, release dates might vary by region or otherwise be an ambigious concept, and there will probably be exceptions where e.g. some channels are given early access and permission to show off that material. It might not be terrible complex either, but I doubt it's really simple either. Also, once you start building certain kinds of exceptions, you've opened up Pandora's box for other kinds of exceptions, which might spiral out of control pretty fast. I'm not saying it's not necessarily a solvable problem, but simple it is probably not.
