In summer, it doesn't really get properly dark here at night. Or rather, it depends on where exactly you live, but I think the whole country experiences at least a short period where it doesn't get properly dark. Obviously it's not as bright as day, but for a while, it's definitely not dark either. I really love that aspect of summers here. I've been abroad properly only once in my life, and did it feel wrong to have dark nights in summer...
There's definitely folks from other countries that are also familiar with this, but only a fairly small amount of people live at latitudes where I would expect this to be the case, so I think it might be worth mentioning.
