I think some people are not really grasping the likely sales trajectory of Astro Bot. There are some helpful comparisons though. Crash bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy sold 2.5m copies in its first 3 months, and broke 20m lifetime. It takes Two sold 1m in its first month. It’s now sold 30m+.

Astro Bot has not been as heavily discounted but it’s already shown strong legs. It will likely break 10m. The fact that it’s never been discounted on PSN beyond 25% probably suggests it’s sales have been strong.

To add to Kyuu’s point: Third-party sales were certainly a big contributor to the milestones of Crash, Spyro, and ITT. If I were to guess, Switch 1 is probably the platform where Crash did the best being that this is where most of the platformers crowd is at.
