The point is to match value for value. There is no difference in giving you all the content for a seemingly higher price and giving you base game and putting the rest of the game behind an extra pay wall. 

Mario Kart 8 DX + Booster Pass - 96 Tracks ($85)

Mario Kart World - 30 tracks. ($80)

Matched value for value! There's no difference!

Most people will miss your point when it makes zero sense. $80 games will still get DLC it's naive to think otherwise and these $80 games will not match the content of previous $60 games + $20-$25 expansion passes.

Things go up in price, that's just how it is. But pretending that it's not actually a price increase with these gymnastics is silly.

I clearly said MK8 for WiiU which had 32 tracks. I wasn't including the booster pass which made it more. They're going to add more to MKW down the line. If it's all free than my point stands.
