If Ocarina 3D could sell over 6M, I easily see this topping 10M. I’ve cited this stat a few times already across the forum, but if you look at the Twitter engagement on Nintendo’s announcement post, it’s putting games like Smash Ultimate and Tears of the Kingdom to shame despite not having a cult following on Twitter (unlike something like Tomodachi).

Also, as far as testimonial is concerned, FWIW all of my millennial siblings who skipped NS1 have actually just purchased an NS2 in response to hear this Ocarina of Time remake (in addition to the time pressure of the impending price hikes). And they all are really big on GTAVI.

I think this game does have a lot of potential to sell very well, even if not a new and original mainline. I mean, just look at how well Spyro Reignited and Crazy N’Sane performed.

If there’s any game that could compete with GTAVI, it’s a wholly original reimagining/remake of Ocarina of Time.
