As the other two have pointed out that argument can be used against human drivers as well and a lot more effectively too considering just how many of them cause death and suffering due to their own ineptitude or complete lack of care for the safety of others. Please don't let this AI moral panic make you start being against undeniably good things like self driving cars cause not only will they save loads of lives and prevent tons of injuries they're also very beneficial for people who are unable to drive which includes a lot of disabled people. When you look at all the harm driving causes it's clear it's fucked up, it's only accepted cause of just how beneficial it is and self driving vehicles will make it a lot less fucked up.
