Hmm… I keep going back on forth on how I feel about this latest Direct. I mean, all that matters is that I came out very pleased with everything. I literally mentioned a few weeks ago how Xeno Trilogy was top of the list for NS2Editions, I had expected Fitness Boxing 3 to be the sports game Nate was talking about, and was only expecting a one-to-one recreation of OoT… and Nintendo completely blew my expectations outta the water! I was hollering throughout the Direct, and was easily one of the most fun Directs I’ve ever watched. And not only that, it was packed to the brim with major reveals for Switch 2 owners.

…but there was only like four first-party reveals: An NS2 Edition Trilogy, Xeno 4, Switch Sports Resort, and Ocarina. And I’m not even planning on getting Switch Sports as that looks like more of the same from the OG Switch Sports. All of the third-parties, I already have on PC or PS5. Deltarune, KH4, and the many major indie reveals were a pleasant surprise, but I’m likely not gonna be playing those.

How are you guys feeling? In any case, I am happy with the presentation but mixed on how good it really was… as weird as that might sound lol. Plus knowing that Pikmin 4 NS2 Edition is on the horizon makes me go crazy with excitement!! Ahh Pikmin 4 is so darn good!

Happy with the direct personally because as I mentioned earlier the S2 is being handled like a primary platform for consumers rather than just a vehicle for first party titles and the NDs for S2 have reflected this as they're pushing the platform to new consumers as a one stop shop for most of their gaming needs with comparable fidelity and portability added in. Directs in future are going to be exactly like this one with fewer first party titles but solid third party showing, I have a very good PC but have still opted to get a significant amount of games on S2 and double dipped on some.
