Man does it make me happy to see NSMB get the respect that its due: the games genuinely are among the best 2D platformers ever made, even if greatly uninspired in their art direction. (I’ll forgive the absence of Pikmin…)

3. Super Mario Odyssey
4. Super Mario 64
5. Pikmin 2
6. Pikmin 4
7. Zelda Majora’s Mask
8. Paper Mario TTYD
9. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
10. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Mario Kart Wii
Honorable Mention: Banjo Kazooie would be 9., but I decided to keep this list purely 1st party.
