Agreed.  And one of the reason, most thing I am wrong, which is fine, but why I don't think even the ps6 will be massive in Path Tracing.  Path Tracing (Cyber, Indiana, RE9, etc.) bring my 4090 24 dedicated vram to it's knees..  I don't get the point.  Even if it looks good, going from 80-90 fps down to 20-30 fps, lol.  No.  

Yeah a lot of really demanding tech just doesn't necessarily translate to a much better looking game; something like TLOU2 or RDR2 has no ray tracing or Nanite or any of that shit but still looks phenomenal just thanks to great use of proven techniques.

Now, I'm not saying ray tracing and such can't look great or be well optimized well to the point where it gives superior results, but they're not an automatic win button and it feels like in some games they're just not worth the hit to performance.
