Emulation. Loads upon loads of reasons. But I find myself using emulation more than buying new games. Native PC support, 4k Texture packs, Mame support continues to improve, Bloodborne, etc.

Man, it's been quite a while since I last used MAME (close to 20 years). Where do you suggest I go to update myself in the matter? Also, what are some other emulators you recommend, with additional setup (accompanying software such as boosters for the 4090 and so)?

I use a lot of retroarch, for MAME final burn neo seems to work with the most games.  Retro seems to work with most everything, I use it for 99% of emulation, plenty of cores and texture pack support.

I also use a specific Dusk emulation for Twilight.  N64 Recomp is excellent, but limited selection.  I also like Cemu.  For ps2 use PCSX2, works amazing.

The big difference for me is texture packs.  Very readily available and works incredibly well.  Henriko and Evil Games for texture packs.
