The problem with AI (one of them at least) is that it hallucinates and makes mistakes; I've read quite a few companies that were eager to replace all their workers have found this out the hard way and have ended up having to re-hire people to fix all the AI's mistakes.

It's ultimately a tool, but as a tool it can be misused by those who want to cut corners to save money.

Exactly, which is why the whole Skynet and sentient crap was stupid.  Basing AI is fine, but it should be grounded in reality with some level of actual knowledge. 

Copilot can do some extreme maths very quickly (and accurately).  That is my primary use.  

It just makes everything faster.  And the problem is, if China goes all in, the rest of the world doesn't have a choice.  That isn't how a global economy works.  

The West doesn't necessarily need to do everything the same way China does; for example, they have a social credit system that a lot of people would object to be implemented here.

AI's capabilities are overstated; it can be useful in a few specific cases, but it has significant limitations, is prone to errors, is extremely costly, and has numerous drawbacks.
