Are you sure? ;) Seems on r/autism many people suspect AI is autistic in the way it operates (bottom up, large data input) and responds (factful, direct). Many rather talk to AI and use AI to organize their replies. But yes, mentoring is much more than being a more human interactable search engine!
It's sad so many professionals are still so far behind when it comes to Neurodivergence, which is likely why many Autistics rather consult AI :/ DSM-5 is already 13 years old again, and needs updating. (It has 2022 text revision, yet Autism research is moving fast and needs to get away from insurance driven categorizations) Research from the last couple years, finally including women, is opening up new ideas.

I'd like to think I hallucinate and get basic things completely wrong less often than AI tends to haha
And thank you; the job is mostly about the human connection and role modelling, which a machine ultimately cannot do.
