I don't know if you mean skipped as in skipping it in the generation it released then playing on it or not play on it at all. I had a PS2, PS3 and PSP, but I skipped on the PS Vita until 2020 when I grabbed one for a good price and mainly used it to play PS1 and PSP games. While my brothers and I shared a PS4 (Christmas gift) I rarely touched it, so I guess maybe this could be considered skipping it? I grabbed a PS5 and that's how I'm experiencing PS4 games for the first time. The reason I skipped the Vita was I just didn't really get into playing my PSP, so I had no interest in having a Vita until way later. The reason I skipped on PS4 was I kept playing my PS2 and PS3 so I was satisfied. Also, this is when I got more into Nintendo so I was occupied playing on my DS, Wii, Wii U, and in 2015 finally got a 3DS. All these systems and plenty of games for me to play was enough. |
To add to this I will be skipping the PS6. Their single player games don't appeal to me anymore and the multiplat games I can just get on PC. The two PS5 games I liked from them are Astro Bot and Sackboy. Going forward if games like that do interest me PlayStation will need to put them on PC or Switch 2 for me to buy them. I will not spend hundreds potentially a thousand on a console for a few games.
