Sure, if you want AI to access nuclear weapons and kill us all, which is more of a possibility than ever.

Even if that doesn't happen, data centres aren't ecologically OR economically sustainable. They won't even bring in enough new jobs to justify their construction. I don't see any possibility of AI not needing oversized, toxic and wasteful data centres, not even in the next few decades. Most of us won't even be able to survive because of the pollution or poverty brought on by AI.

This won't be an AI future of hope like Mega Man Battle where there are AIs actively helping people, but one of humanity's extinction like in The Terminator.

All of that is beside the point that advocating for all data centres to be destroyed is advocating for something not just completely unrealistic but also extremely harmful since the internet is a key component of the economy now and modern society in general. It is possible to take the position that AI has huge risks and development of it should be halted without saying incredibly unreasonable things like all data centres must be destroyed. I think that position is wishful thinking but it's at least possible to have reasonable discussion from that angle.

Well the opposite is even worse, as further data center construction is pushing us towards economic collapse, extinction, or both, and tech CEOs are too selfish and short-sighted to come up with a solution that doesn't result in that. It's not like all of a sudden data center development will be moved to the moon or space, because the Epstein class is too cheap and corrupt to do that.
