Suppose a game just dropped and it has been announced that it will retail for a fixed $100USD. No discounts. The price today is the price tomorrow…well, at least for the first 12 months on retail. Then it drops to $60USD. What game would this be in order for you to purchase at $100USD?

For me, there are some immediate games that come to mind: 2D/3D Zelda, 2D/3D Mario, mainline Pikmin. Beyond that? Reviews would need to be glowing to convince me to purchase at the $100USD price tag.

What about you?

Console sellers.
There are games (In my case usually 3D Mario games) that will have me go out and buy a Nintendo console, mainly just to play that 1 game.
Factor in the price of the console, and its way more than 100$.

However there are very few of these titles imo.
Most games aren't at that level (we're talking 3D zelda/Mario games here, if they score/review well, and look appealing too me).

I'm typically the "wait for it to go on sale" before buy....  Nowadays I usually don't even do day1 buys (I have done so for a few recently, Baldurs Gate 3, Clair Obscur: E33, did it with like Disco Elysium and The Thaumaturge, some of Trail series ect.... it has to be something that looks really appealing, and that I want to support)

Like if Persona 6 releases at 100$.... I might do it.
I really loved 3,4,5.
