They delayed the price hike to Q4, which is a time of the year people are more prone to impulse buying or accepting paying more for gifts (or simply have more money from salary bonus)

Now next year is when things will be getting more interesting. Q1 was relatively mid after the spudily high launch year, and that was with the surprising hit of Pokopia making the sales to skyrocket by March

I remember you (and a couple others) arguing with me that PS5 being expensive and Switch 2 cheap somehow made sense for the Japanese market. At that time, PS5 (with disc drive) was a lot more expensive than Switch 2. Fastforward, and now base PS5 digital is cheaper than a base Switch 2!

Sony should've released its region locked PS5DE earlier. Though it may just be a matter of time before it too gets a price increase.

Switch 2 being so cheap at launch in Nintendo's most dominant market was a mistake.
