Another topic answered by my sig. The oldest I've owned was an Intellivision. As it says in my profile, it was a hand me down. It kind of blew, even back then (granted, I was playing it while my downstairs neighbor had an NES, so I knew what I was missing).
Oldest system that was bought specifically for me was an Atari 7800. I actually got it before I got the Intellivision. Much bettor machine, though I still at that age wished I was playing Super Mario Bros., and not Mario Bros. I remember the day in 1st grade when a guy I new brought in his manual for the brand new Super Mario Bros. 2. It seemed so cool, and I wished I could have it. I never got an NES, but I ended up playing all three NES Mario games and wished I could own them. Thus, once I had the SNES I was overjoyed when Super Mario All-Stars came out.
I don't have any of my earliest consoles anymore. The oldest system I still own is an SNES. The oldest console I still own that never left my possession is a Nintendo 64 (I've owned 3 SNES's at various points. The current one was an eBay purchase).
