Hardware sales may come to a crawl. Sony's aim for the next 5 years or so will be trying to retain its existing playerbase by keeping them active on the hardware they already own. They're projecting a decline in revenue and a big increase in operating profits. High profits make sense now that the worst days of failed acquisitions and live service projects are behind them.
I wonder how long before they go full Microsoft and stop reporting hardware sales lol. Just don't be surprised if the pricing situation gets a lot worse than it is now. Really hard to make meaningful predictions without knowing future prices.
