DK has a hard time covering diagonally up and in front of him on the ground. His up tilts range is mostly towards his backwards diagonal. If you can bait a smash, dash, or special though then punish it. If you feel the need to approach him, go in at the diagonals and try to not get shield grabbed. At certain %s if he grabs you near the edge just say good bye because your going to be cargo carried stage spiked. In the air, keep in mind his hitboxes aren't disjointed. You can actually strike his leg when he sticks it out for his B-air. In the air he's weakest from in front of him since his F-air is so slow. His u-air lacks range as well. If he has a full charge of Donkey Punch bait it out, you do NOT want to get hit by it unexpectedly. Go defensive when its charged to avoid it.
