Given the visuals, especially the lighting, I assume this might be the first game that started development on Switch2. I would not be surprised if this is the first Nintendo game using ray tracing.

It feels like a deja vu. They did Wind Waker HD on the Wii U to use an older game as a base to get to grips with HD graphics. I assume the same will happen with the presumed Ocarina of Time remake.

On the note of OoT: I definitely 100% anticipate a faithful (not reimaginative) remake at this point. Seeing how they’ve handled the SMRPG, PM:TTYD, and now SF64 remakes, I’m convinced that Nintendo’s philosophy is to preserve the original creation but with [X] years of technological development.

That said, my 8th grade self is kicking in his seat right now eagerly awaiting this fabled OoT Remake. This is something I was dying for back when I first got started with Nintendo during 2017/2018.
