If you could choose to have been born in a different time, would you, and if so, when and why?

By my philosophy, having been born at any other time I would not be me and I as I am would not exist.
So I rather exist than some other, if possibly happier and more fortunate, version of me. Like the classic saying goes: always be yourself, unless you can be Batman; then be Batman.

That aside, I'm optimistic that couple centuries to future will be better time to live.
