Remember when there was talk about gpu/cpu balancing power came out to "PS5 is only 8Tflops" , "It overclocks to reach that", "It needs liquid metal, to even funktion, its rushed!",  "Liquid metal is mess it up", "Series X is gonna run every game better, higher settings"....

There was so much of it.
Most of it, came from Xbox fans in a discord server or some sh*t like that... where they were actively making "coordinated efforts to spread misinformation" about the PS5 before/early launch.

Sony never got a free pass, I think it gets more flack than any of the 3 when there is "concern".

100% agreed.  I suppose popularity shifts and right now it is cool to bash Sony, while Nintendo tends to be the most protected/defended.  Personally, I don't think it is even close, Sony gets ripped on things that simply are not a big deal at all.
