Arent the stores holding the price hike with old inventory or something?

I'm trying to find out if that's the case. Since retailers purchase units weeks in advance for the previous asking price it's safe to assume once that inventory sells out and the units with the updated price comes in that's when the price increases. We've seen that in the U.S. where PS5's were still at the old price for 2-3 weeks before increasing. If this is the case then I can see why the PS5 and PS5 Pro sold as much as last year, but if that's not the case then I would be shocked the price increase barely affected those sales. Then again Golden week is this week so sales might have increased in anticipation for that.

That doesn't explain why the PS5 and Pro sold just 1k the the first week of price hike. I think people were just shocked at the price increase and everything is back to normal for PS5 sales. It's been selling around 10k for over a year now. Should easily reach 600-700k this year
