| curl-6 said: Not exactly a surprise, I've suspected for years now, my Mum and Dad knew something was up even back when I was a kid in the 90s but weren't taken seriously, and there's a very high degree of overlap between autism and ADHD, so me having one meant the other was highly likely, but still, it's good to know, explains a lot of the struggles I've had my whole life. Finally got around to getting an assessment, (been meaning to for years) and in true ADHD fashion nearly missed my first appointment cos my brain can't retain information and I constantly forget everything. According to my psychologist, I'm not just ADHD but actually "very high" on the ADHD scale (an assessment score of 14 and above is clinical ADHD, I'm a 22) so she's astounded I made it this far without it being flagged. Any other ADHD folks here in our little community? |
My daughter is. I don't recall her score. She has some tools to help with her situation. I have never been evaluated but my wife of 22 years swears I am on the neurological spectrum, no idea. At my age, not sure if it matters.
edit
my daughter carries a notebook, notes helps her a lot.
