As pointed out earlier, it's because of a potential exploit regarding the license file and the refund period. Realistically nothing changes except that the license file is now not permanent until after the refund period then it becomes so.
A lot of unnecessary toxic negativity it what it is. Granted, Sony should've had a comment ready sooner.
